Actualmente, la mayor\u00eda de los residuos de furfural se tratan apil\u00e1ndolos o cavando fosas para su vertido, lo que causa diversos grados de contaminaci\u00f3n en la atm\u00f3sfera, el suelo y los r\u00edos debido a su gran acumulaci\u00f3n.
