Case Study | MIYUN DISTRICT, BEIJING

1. Project Background
Beijing’s Miyun District generates large volumes of pruning branches, leaves and weeds each year. Traditional stockpiling or open burning occupied land, released pollutants and slowed landscape maintenance. To comply with Beijing’s “zero-waste” initiatives and garden-waste recycling policy, the district’s Green Management Bureau sought an on-site, clean treatment solution.
2. Jiesonglin Solution

In early 2023 the sanitation department partnered with Jiesonglin Technology to install two 200 m³ e-PTFE membrane composters at a local landscaping depot. The closed-loop process is:
- Collect & shred garden residues
- Blend bulking agents for optimal C/N ratio
- Cover & ferment under gas-permeable nanomembrane (20-25 days)
- Return humus to parks, tree pits and nurseries
Automated aeration, temperature control and leachate capture ensure odour-free, high-temperature aerobic composting.

3. Proven Results
| KPI | Per Unit | Two-Unit Annual Total |
|---|---|---|
| Garden waste processed | ≈240 t/month | ≈3 000 t/year |
| Compost cycle | – | 20–25 days |
| Final product | – | Stable humus for local soil improvement |
The system runs clean and silent; its sleek housing blends with the urban landscape while eliminating transport and landfill costs.
4. Client Testimonial
“The green waste once piling up in corners is now first-class humus for our parks.
Jiesonglin’s membrane composter finally solved our long-standing disposal headache—eco-friendly, labour-saving and cost-effective. We plan to replicate this model across more streets.”
